As students abroad, hand-picked flowers often found their way home with us. More often than not, they ended up in a drinking glass, an old jam jar, or whatever container happened to be nearby. Over time, that simple habit made us question whether we really needed a dedicated vase at all.

Hytte grew from that observation. It acts as an adapter between flowers and the containers already found around the home, allowing each arrangement to find its own vessel. A single stem might suit a small glass, while a larger handful may call for something else entirely.

Crafted locally in Iceland from recycled glass from the construction industry, Hytte can be used with almost any waterproof container. During the darker months, it can also be turned over and used as a candle holder.

The flowers may change, and so may the containers, but the act remains the same: making something simple feel a little bit more intentional.
