Pink Ribbon
Throughout history, people have attached meaning to small objects they wear, carry, or keep close. More often than not, these objects became symbols of protection, luck, guidance, or support.
Designed as a proposal for the Bleika Slaufan 2026, a campaign supporting people affected by breast cancer, the project draws inspiration from old Nordic and Icelandic traditions, where small objects often carried symbolic meaning.
Made from ash wood, the proposal references Yggdrasil, the ash tree from Norse mythology, a symbol of life, resilience, and renewal. As a material, ash is known for its ability to bend without breaking.
A small object cannot carry a burden for us, but it can become a symbol of strength, support, and resilience along the way.
